2006 Year in Review

- Switzerland Trip: Anita got to meet my Swiss family for the first time and we took a memorable side trip to the Valles (Italian part of Switz.) and found a village called Intragnia where we later learned my mom and aunt had also been years ago.

- Olive our lovable kitten passed away and is dearly missed

- Year of Babies: 5 sets of our friends had kids

- "Bernardo" Milestone: Our Volvo stationwagon which was given to us in 2005 by my sister and bro-in-law surpasses the 200,000 mile mark in rural Pennsylvania on a trip to see Anita's sister graduate from college.

- We both resigned from our jobs...

- ...to take a two-month backpacking adventure around the state of Rajistan in India, the Indian Ocean island of Mauritius, and then Anita's homeland of Kenya.

- In Kenya: With Anita's father's help, we spent an unforgettable night at the Mambo's ancestral village visiting Anita's aunts, uncles and cousins.

After returning home in mid-September...

- Anita began her 2 year post-graduate training program in family therapy at the Ackerman Institute.

- Lionel: We adopted and are adjusting to a new life with a lovable 55lb chow/golden 1 yr old puppy who we've named Lionel after his lion-like looks.

- Mischa is starting an independent consultancy business around his interactive marketing experience.

- Anita began a new job with Brooklyn Psychiatric Centers as a child therapist at a public school in Carrol Gardens.
